Infection control has always been a top priority for our practice and you may have seen this during your visits to our office. We have added some additional safety measures based on the recent recommendations of the Iowa Dental Board, American Dental Association, U.S. Centers for Disease Control & Prevention and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
At your next appointment, please expect and consider the following new procedures:
- Arrive 10-15 minutes early for your appointment
- Sanitize hands at the screening table
- Wear a face covering or a mask will be provided for you
- Your temperature will be taken upon arrival by a staff member
- Complete and sign a patient screening form
- Cannon patients: Complete or update health history form (depending on date of your last visit)
- Wainwright Ortho patients: Complete and sign an informed consent
- After screening we will ask you to wait in your vehicle in order to practice social distancing. You will be contacted by cell phone when we are ready for you. Limit of one adult parent/legal guardian per minor child patient. No parents will be allowed past the waiting room due to safety and limited supplies of PPE. No children come in with adult patients, so extra adult supervision needs to be considered for children being left in the vehicle.
- Cannon patients: $10 COVID Infection Control/PPE fee per family visit will be collected after appointment
With all that being said, we are happy to announce that we are seeing patients again on a limited basis. We will contact you to reschedule your appointment as soon as we are able to. Your patience and flexibility is much appreciated during this rescheduling process. We look forward to seeing you again and are happy to answer any questions that you may have about the new steps we are taking to keep you, and every patient, safe in our practice.
